How to make fibreglass moulds
AP Hollings teach how to make make fibreglass moulds. Once you have decided what you want to make creating your fibreglass mould could not be easier.
Things you will need to make your fibreglass moulds, plasticene, fibreglass resin, fibreglass matting, natural gelcoat, and do not forget the safety aspects, you will need a pair of safety googles and gloves, now you are ready start.
AP Hollings recommend that you create your mould with the plasticene, once you have the desired shape and its all smoth you can heat your fibreglass resin, once heated to the correct temperature, poor the fibreglass resin into your plasticene mould and leave to cool for several hours, hopefully if you have done this correctly, you will have the desired mould, which now can be polished. « Back to Articles
